Professor Kerry Arabena is a descendent of the Meriam people of the Torres Strait and is at the forefront of Indigenous affairs in Australia. Kerry’s visionary understanding of people and our relationship with the Universe sits upon an extraordinary breadth of academic and practice-based experience and leadership across social work, human ecology, environmental health, public health, community development and more. Kerry is author of Becoming Indigenous to the Universe: Reflections on living systems, indigenity and citizenship, based on her doctoral thesis, in which she offers a new perspective on our relationship with the Universe informed by Indigenous knowledges from around the world.
